Use different sizes of objects to play with scale on your tray.
Here’s an example of using different sizes on your tray. Notice the mug and the candle are relatively similar in size in the picture below.
Now notice the difference in the next photo.
This time instead of using the mug, I’ve added a small container with a plant and 3 limes to the tray. The plant pot is a little small but the limes are drastically smaller in comparison to the candle on the tray. This design change is simple but effective. Give this tip a try the next time you’re decorating your tray.
Using different sized objects creates interest. The contrast in size makes your tray’s design more visually appealing.
